Santa only left a few things sitting out for Asher. His big gift from the Jolly Man was hidden. Asher didn't seem to notice, he was so excited about his broom! He is just like his grandfather, Da or Al; he loves to sweep and clean up. He was also excited about the Thomas the Train ball and Weeble castle.
Next, Asher was ready to open some presents from mom and dad. Taking his time, he opened one present at a time and played with each one before moving to the next. Our future drummer loved his new drum - a child-sized version of a real drum. But, he really loved all his new tools and being able to play with dad.

Still unaware of Santa's big surprise, we gave Asher a present that we knew would excite him beyond words... Chuggington train cars. Bigger surprises were just around the corner (and down the stairs).
As soon as all the grandparents had arrived, it was time for the big "reveal" of the new playroom. Asher had not seen his playroom since before Thanksgiving. It was such a special moment for Asher and all his family that was able to be present.

As if that didn't make him the happiest boy on the planet, when were finally able to get him to come back upstairs, he was elated to find the train table that Santa had brought him.
It was huge morning for our little man. By lunch time he was worn out. However, he wasn't ready for the fun to end. When we laid him down for a nap, he insisted on his new Thomas the Train books and his Lightning McQueen flashlight... which he was still clinging to when finally fell asleep on the floor of his room by the baby gate.
